We went on our first family vacation. My parents invited us on an amazing trip to Rocky Point - exceeded ALL expectations. We had so much fun I cannot even begin to put it in words. We spend 5 days there and we were in heaven. There were about 8 pools 3 of which where kid friendly so we spent a lot of time there. And they also have a river pool that circled the other pools. it was so fun. The kids did great, no one go hurt or sunburned (other than Colin) and everyone had a great time!!!!!!! My moms favorite thing was taking Justin to the beach. It was really cool that they got that time together. And my parents did naptime so we could have some quiet time at the pool, so nice! Thanks M and D! We had originally planned on going out just Colin and I a time or two but were having so much fun with my parents that we decided staying in and while overlooking the ocean and playing catch phrase. So many highlights from the trip. The pictures speak a million words. We cannot wait for the next trip....maybe an annual thing Mom and Dad??????? So fun!

Colin has been gone for about 10 days now and is still going to be gone for another 4-6 weeks for work. I am lucky enough to get a break from the kids and get to go visit him in a little over a week. I can't wait!!!! Its been hard, but there is no other option. So myself and my three boys have been buddies 24/7, and we are all still alive! Wheeeew, thank God for my gym! Grocery shopping, yes with two carts, Yo GABBA GABBA, time outs and Justin sleeping in our bed...breakin all of the rules and lookin like a moron!

We had such a fun day. Justin started out by spending the night at my parents where they decorated eggs and learned all about the easter bunny. So when he woke up he had his first easter egg hung and yes with REAL eggs! Next we went over to Scottsdale to see my cousins, the Jorgensons and the boys had a blast! The girls hid a bunch of easter eggs and tried to show the twins how to find them. It was so cute to see how patient they were with them. Every time Ryan and Dylan would walk around the corner they were eating a starburst with the wrappper on it (that was fun the next day). Justin and I jumped on the trampoline together, that was pretty fun. And Justin basically followed Ashley and Sara around the whole time. Then we came home because the easter bunny also made a trip to our house....and here are a few snaps of the end of the day. A fair to remember

There was a little fair in a parking lot by Justin's school and we kept driving by it and Justin kept asking if we could go and I said maybe on the weekend....so everyday that week he kept asking then we all went on a saturday. There were about 10 people there, including the staff so we basically had the place to ourselves. Justin loved it!

On that note a while back I was able to babysit Justin's best friend Connor and his little sister Drew, who is also Ryan's girlfriend! It was so fun having them over! I loved watching Justin interact with his friend, someone his age that got all of his attention! And loved having Drew there! She is the cutest little girl ever! And she already runs Ryan around like shes the boss and he does everything she says. Love it.

Christmas Eve

We went to my parents house for Christmas Eve. It is our tradition, Christmas Eve is our big event when we open presents and have a great family dinner together. What you won't see in these pictures is the Ugg story. So I told my Mom I wanted a new pair of Uggs and when I was at their house a few days before Christmas I shook the boxes and knew I had a pair of Uggs under there (been shakin boxes for almost 30 yrs). So i tell my sweet husband this and he rats me out. Calls my Mom and says "Brittany has been looking under the tree and is pretty sure there are Uggs under there". So they get my Uncle Steve involved. He finds some brown boots at a Goodwill type store and they re-wrap the present with these boots in the Uggs box. I thought my Mom was trying to be "cool' and buy me a "stylish"pair of Uggs so I quickly looked at them and Said "Ohhhh Thank you". Of course you all know the look that was on my face. So once I figured it out when everyone was laughing at me that they tricked me and it served me right. So yes I did get my Uggs and a hot pair of 20 year old crap cowboy boots. HA HA. Just remember all of you that Karma's a Bitch (sorry to swear on the blog) so you all have it coming to you!!!!!!!!!! Also the train set and lincoln logs were my Dad's from when he was a kid. He is passing them on to Justin. It was a fun time for my Dad to see Justin playing with the toys he played with as a boy!

Reindeer Run 5k

This past saturday my girlfriend Tammy and I did our first 5k...we did it in 30.50 minutes which we were very happy with! It was a Lifetime Fitness run so I felt a little bit more motivated to do it. I didn't really train too much for it cause I didn't really know what to do. So I just incorporated running into my regular work outs 3 days a week. Now we are going to do the 4.2 mile Pat Tillman run in April. Hopefully that one will go well too. The family came out to support me. It was freezing!

Baking cookies

So my mom and I used to bake cookies every year, but we haven't almost since Ive been in college. So we decided to bake this year. We always do a traditional sugar cookie with multi colored frosting. I should have taken pictures of the end result cause we had about 10 dozen but now that I have given them all out we have about 12 cookies left to our name. We also made 6lbs of fudge. That I keep mostly for myself. I am always a sucker for chocolate! This year was so fun for my Mom AND Justin. He helped cut out the cookies and also helped to do the frosting and sprinkles! It was sooo fun!

Colin and I have been bringing the kids outside around 4pm after naps and snacks to play in the yard. As some of you know, people don't go outside in Arizona, whether it's hot or not. You rarely see people hanging out in their yards. Well fortunately for the neighborhood we are "those people". We bring our collection of boys outside and play. play. play.

Justin is really enjoying his brothers a lot now, he can do more with them...like pull them in the wagon, push them off the slide, ride his bike into them and so on. Good times!

I was lucky enough to get 2 photo sessions with Jocelyn (my sister in law). One with myself and the kids and another one when Colin came into town to drive us home! Justin is pretty in love with this tall guy. Uncle Bennett pulled out all of the tricks with Justin and the twins, tricks I don't even think he knew he had. I got to know this guy more when I was up for my trip and just love that he is Jocelyn's husband. What an amazing couple they are; they compliment each other in the best of ways and really are fun to be around. I think Bennett may be a Justin favorite.

One of our many adventures in WA involved a two day trip to stay with my long time friend Kelli. We took Justin (and the twins) to Chuck E. Cheese for the first time. He loved it, Justin had a great time on all of the rides, he gets really serious and concentrates when he is having lots of fun, so don't be fooled by his expressions! Colin and I also stopped at one on our road trip home to give the kids a break from the car and a little fun, no pictures from that though...we were pretty tired and not in picture taking mode.

We stayed at my girlfriend Kelli's house for a couple of days and were invited to a dinner at Colin's Aunt Debbie's house so the twins could meet everyone, including Grandpa Mike. We knew Kelli lived in the same area as Aunt Debbie but didn't realize it was literally around the corner on the same lake. Had a great time of course! And uncle Tom had all of the cool cars that the kids loved to play with as well as wild bunnies!

Sandie was able to take a break from working to take us down to Kirkland to hang at the beach, have lunch and some fabulous frozen yogurt! Well we just got back from a month visit in Seattle, I drove up with the twins, while Justin flew up with Grandpa Doug. My cousin was able to drive up with me which was a great help. We got there in a day and a half and had so much fun! This was one of our outings...Justin, Grammy and I went to her Dad's "Grandpa Mike" where Justin fell in love with this very cool guy! He talked about Grandpa Mike a lot through out our trip and it was great that he was able to see him twice! No pictures when we were there but lots on the ferry ride. Don't worry, I will be posting many more through out the next few days!

I have been giving the babies baths in the kitchen sink lately because they have become rather messy little guys since they are eating more types of foods...crackers, waffles, green beans etc. They have been getting about 3 baths a day after every meal! Well today I just put them all in the tub together for the first time and they all had a great time. Splashing and chewing on all of the toys and laughing at each other!

As you have probably noted on the other Brown blogs my Mother in Law and Sister in Law just came into town for a long weekend. It's always so nice having Sandie here. She is totally hands on and basically takes over when she gets here so I get a nice guilt free break. The boys adore her and she is absolutely in love with them too. I didn't pull out the camera too much because there always seemed to be someone else taking pictures so I will post more pictures when I get them from the family.

My cousin Taylor came to visit and he is going to be an amazing father. He loved hanging out with the boys, infact, he watched them for a while so I could sit and relax. His girlfriend Nikki was here too and I adore her. somehow the topic of Mickey Mouse came up I think because we were making fun of how just called her mickey... so by the end of the trip he was calling her "mouse".

A perfect Mother's Day

I had the perfect Mother's Day yesterday! It all started with Colin waking up with the kids, so I got to sleep in until 7:30! Wow, never thought I would be excited about "sleeping in" until 730! Then we got ready and headed up to Salty Senoritas for Margaritas and Queso...my favorite! We then headed over to Trader Joe's to get some groceries and Justin was in charge of the cart! Then we came home and took naps. But while everyone was sleeping I went and got a pedicure/Manicure with Jessica. When I got home (to find the babies hadn't taken their nap, thank you Colin for smiling and not complaining when I walked in the door even though you wanted to nap too) we headed out back to our little pool so I could take the babies in the water! Ended with pizza for dinner (my other favorite) and a little alone time with Colin. Couldn't have asked for a better day!

Sundi and I have been spending a lot of time together lately. It has been so fun sharing stories of "multiples" and also watching the kids play together. Cali has taken a special liking to Justin and vice versa. They followed each other around and kept giggling together. It was very cute. Justin loves the "gurls" as he calls them - funny thing is he can tell them apart better than most people (he knows all of their names)! His favorite time is feeding, two for him, one for the girls. 6 month check up

Well as many of you know, everyone thinks Ryan is a little big for his age! But you will be happy to know that he is NOT off the charts!
Ryan weighed in at 21lbs (90th percentile) and is 27 inches tall (75th percentile)! But the shocker was Dylan!
Dylan weighed in at 17.10lbs (50th percentile) and is 28.5 inches tall (95th percentile).

So even though Ryan is chubby, Dylan is taller. So yes, they are both big guys but nothing off the charts! Everyone is normal and very healthy!!!! And thank goodness that this was the last time for 5 shots at a time each! Yeay for good check ups!

Grammy, Ryan, Sundi and the gurls came over today. That is what Justin calls them. He is just starting to learn their names but can't tell who is who yet - but he really likes hanging out with them. He talks to them and gives them toys when they get upset. It was so fun and relaxing to have them over. Since my babies slept half the time I really got to pay attention to them and fell even more in love with them. They are the sweetest girls I have ever seen. They are really into mimicking (spelling) right now and it was so sweet to watch Grammy make a sound or expression and they would copy her. Their little personalities are amazing and I really enjoyed watching how much they are exploring right now, but with caution. They make me want to have a girl even more now than I ever have! Can't wait to do it again soon!

Our Very 1st Birthday....times 3!

Friday March 20th was the triplets 1st Birthday! We went to Macayos with them to celebrate. Then yesterday it was their birthday party. It was so much fun! I think there were as many kids as there were adults and most of them were babies! Justin had a great time playing with the other boys! The cupcakes were his favorite part! The girls each got their own giant sized cupcake, it was so fun watching them eat them! We also sang happy birthday three times because it was 3 birthdays on one special day. They each got to have their moment which was very sweet. The tu tu's were priceless

95% of the time both babies are very low maintenance and happy; it's so funny to see how different they are not only in looks but also personality. Dylan is a very relaxed and goofy "little brother", he loves to watch his other brothers a lot. Ryan is incredibly sweet and more on the quiet side. Although after we discovered he had an ear infection and treated it, he is like a new man! Now he talks all the time, laughs and does this new scream starting a week ago when he discovered his voice. So, there is nothing wrong with Ryan, he's just really excited - just got done eating.

Yesterday my friend Jessica gave birth to her little girl, Madilynn Marie Stokes, born 6lbs 7oz and 18 inches long. She did amazing and got her out in three pushes!!!! It's their first baby and she is so precious! These were taken last night at the hospital. Can't wait to take some pictures of them at home this weekend hopefully!

When Sandie was in town we met the rest of the family and went to the zoo. Not as good as the Woodland Park Zoo but it was fun to get out as a family! We went to Frank and Lupe's one of our favorite Mexican restaurants afterwards and it was so much fun. It was a little stressful at first trying to get 6 kids and 5 adults situated but was really enjoyable once we all settled in. We had many people curious about how we had twins and triplets all together... one lady told us as we were leaving that she never would have known we had 6 kids at our table...always nice to hear. We do all have great kids!

Before Justin came along, my mom and I would travel to CA to visit my Aunt Helen every year for her Birthday. Well with our large family now it seemed to make more sense to have her come here this time. So We had a great weekend, went to dinner Saturday the 31st for her bday and then got together again for her real bday on the 1st. So much fun. It was also our first night out with a babysitter (2nd night out with out the kids in 5 months). So nice to have a mini break!

So Jessica is the only one I know that doesn't exceed the weight limit and was able to go in the truck with Justin. He was soooooooo excited, he took her for a ride around the yard!!!!! So cute!

So we have started to give the boys some solid foods. Funny, Dylan loves it and Ryan thinks it's a waste of time...give me the bottle! We have stopped since they have been sick but do use the high chairs as another source of entertainment for the boys.

Justin has really fallen inlove with his brothers over the past few weeks. He knows to give them a hug and tell them it's okay when they cry. I don't even have to ask, when my hands are full, he runs over to them and says "look mommy look" then loves on them and they always seem to stop crying!

Our Day Trip to Rocky Point

I have been getting cabin fever so Colin had a great idea two days ago. He said "lets get up and go to Rocky Point". That is a town on the beach in Mexico. It's about 3 hours away. So we got up at 5am, packed the kids in the car and took off for the day. We had a really nice lunch and played on the beach for a little while. It was great to get away, even just for the day!!
